Latest Chapter News Tuesday, March 13, 2007 We Sang. We Shopped. We Partied. Last Saturday's "Country Karaoke" event and our "Private Shopping Night" were tremendous successes. In fact, we had so many shoppers head off for the Western Warehouse in Milpitas that we filled TWO buses. It was a record number for us and a very fun night for all. Thank you to The Mint for hosting our fabulously fun pre-party, thank you to everyone that took their turns at the mic and kept it country, thank you to the Rio at the Western Warehouse for stocking all that great merchandise and for offering everyone so many great deals, and a huge thank you to Doug, Gregg, and Skot for all your planning and promotion. Way to Go Jesse! A big congratulations goes out to one of own--Jesse. A graduate of our Rough Stock Rodeo School last year, Jesse went off to Dallas for the "Big D" Rodeo at the beginning of the month. In addition to some ribbons and prize money in his other events, he took first in Steer Riding on Sunday and came home with a beautiful All Around Amateur buckle. Way to go! As the points and prize money racked up last year by graduates of the Rough Stock Rodeo Schools illustrate, they're a fantastic opportunity to learn all you need to know about Bull Riding, Steer Riding, Bronc Riding, and Chute Dogging. Planning has begun for two scheduled schools this year. Stay tuned for complete information coming soon. Meeting at the Center - Tonight! We're moving our monthly chapter meetings to a new location--The LGBT Center in San Francisco. The location was chosen based on feedback from many members and we think you're all going to enjoy meeting there. We hope you can make the first meeting there tonight, March 13th, as it's going to be an important one. We'll be working to bring our beneficiary selection process to a close and will continue with the new Open Forum format of the meetings. All members are encouraged to attend! We invite all members to take part in this important, active discussion over the next several months.
