Congratulations to the 2010 Bay Area Rodeo Royalty

April 9, 2010 found the GSGRA - Bay Area Chapter once again at Marlena's Bar in San Francisco for the 2010 Bay Area Rodeo Competition. The BAC made history on this day by selecting it's first MsTer Bay Area Rodeo. Congratulations to our new Royalty Team: Gloria Whole, Miss Bay Area Rodeo 2010; Coco Tomasulo, Ms. Bay Area Rodeo 2010; Hick N Proud, MsTer Bay Area Rodeo 2010; and John Paul Soto, Mr. Bay Area Rodeo 2010.

Congratulations also to Mr. Bay Area Rodeo 2009 Joseph Jimenez. As Joseph stepped down from his Bay Area Rodeo Royalty position on April 9th, he stepped up to take on the title of Mr. GSGRA 2010, as Kelly Gilliland stepped up to take the title of Mr. IGRA 2010 2nd Runner Up.

AEF Castro County Fair

Make plans to attend Castro County Fair at San Francisco’s historic Armory. AIDS Emergency Fund (AEF), along with dozens of other community organizations, will create a family-friendly, fun-filled day, featuring community awards, carnival-type games, scrumptious county fair food and libations, as well as hooting ‘n’ hollering San Francisco-style entertainment. The weekend of May 22nd and 23rd also marks the first observance Harvey Milk’s birthday as a state holiday. The Castro County Fair is truly the type of event that Harvey Milk imagined for the community.

The GSGRA-BAC will be at the Fair selling food and beverages, as well as promoting our upcoming Best Buck in the Bay Rodeo and Festival. Be sure to stop by and say "Howdy".

Memorial Day Weekend Western BBQ

Memorial Day Weekend is nearly upon us, and that means that the GSGRA-BAC will be at Sundance Saloon for their Annual Western BBQ. Come on out for some great food, awesome music, and the best country western dancing in the Bay Area.

Sundance Saloon will be open special hours on this day: 4pm to 9:30pm. The BBQ will be going on from 4pm to 7pm.

Buckin' Rodeo BBQ & Beer Bust

We know that May just began, but it isn't too early to being planning for BAC events coming up in June. Come join the GSGRA-BAC as they help Brix Nightclub celebrate their 3rd Anniversary. We will be holding a BBQ/Beer Bust on Sunday, June 6th from 5pm to 8pm. We're not talking about hot dogs and hamburgers, but we're going to have something special for everyone. We hope to see y'all there!.

2010 Best Buck in the Bay Rodeo and Festival CAMPING

One of the most exciting changes about this year's Best Buck in the Bay Rodeo and Festival is that we will be offering camping at Driscoll Ranches rodeo site. Our camping reservations system is now up and running, and we encourage everyone to make their reservtions early. Space is limited and on booked on a first come, first served basis. All camping information and prices are listed on our Rodeo Shop website (see link below), and camping fees are PER PERSON. We've designed our 2010 rodeo to be a one stop shop for all of your weekend needs, Dancing, Rodeo, Camping, Shopping and eating! Our camping registration system is designed the same way, purchase camping, food and rodeo merchandise:
