IMPORTANT Chapter Meeting
Tuesday July 14, 2009

Once again, we will be discussing our 2010 rodeo bid which we will be presenting to the GSGRA State Board of Directors at the July 25th board meeting. We still need more people to commit to helping with the various aspects of planning and producing the rodeo. We will also be discussing and hopefully selecting a Rodeo Director. The meeting will be held at the home of Rosemary Tomasulo on July 14th from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Dinner will be served. The address and a link to a Google Map is listed in the column to the right.

San Jose Pride

On Saturday and Sunday, June 13th and 14th, the GSGRA Bay Area Chapter made it down to San Jose to celebrate Pride Weekend! We brought Mighty Broncy with us and dozens of folks had a great time riding like true cowgirls and cowboys. We wouldn't have been able to do this without our volunteers. Thanks to all who came out to help out and to support our organization. An extra special thanks to Sundance Saloon who came out and sponsored the country western dance area. Randy and Hal played some great music and lots of people had a good ol' time strutting their stuff. We have photos and videos from the event, so be sure to check them out!

San Franciso Pride

The GSGRA Bay Area Chapter will be kicking off San Francisco Pride Weekend with a fundraiser/meet & greet hosted by John Paul Soto, Mr. Gay San Francisco 2009 (and the BAC's Fundraising/Events Chairperson) in conjunction with the Imperial Council of San Francisco. This event will allow members of the community to come out and meet our own Royalty, Mr. Bay Area Rodeo 2009, Joseph Jimenez, and Miss Bay Area Rodeo 2009, Lulu Getz.

For those of you who weren't able to make it to San Jose Pride, we have more volunteer opportunities coming up as we celebrate Pride in San Francisco June 27th and 28th. This includes marching in the parade, working a shift or two on Saturday or Sunday helping us at the collection gates, or working a shift at the Saturday night Pink Party in the Castro, hosted by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Please check out these volunteer opportunities and sign up as soon as possible if you are able to.
