
Our core group of chapter members came together on August 4th for the 2010 Best Buck in the Bay Rodeo Production Kickoff Meeting. Here are some of the highlights from our meeting:

The GSGRA - Bay Area Chapter will be hosting our 2nd Annual Drag-A-Thon. For those of you who attended last year's Drag-A-Thon, you know how much fun this is going to be. Each Drag-A-Thon participant must raise a minimum of $200 to qualify. There are two ways to participate.
Nominations will be accepted via e-mail to John Southard. Remember, each participant will need to raise a minimum of $200.00 to qualify. Prizes will be awarded for the best performance…and the person who raises the most money will be crowned the "Queen of the Night"!

This Sunday, August 16th, the Bay Area Chapter will once again be out at Golden Gate Fields in Berkeley from 10am-4pm to staff the Dollar Days booth. We'd love to see as many of you out there as possible, not only assisting with selling $1 hot dogs and $1 Bud Light, but also having a good time with fellow Rodeo folks. E-mail our Fundraising Chairperson to let him know if are able to join us.
After this Sunday, we still have three additional dates for the remiander of the year to staff Golden Gate Fields' Dollar Days booth. Review the dates and let us know when you're able to join us.

SAVE THE DATE! Come on out for a night of great country western dancing and enjoy some tasty BBQ as the GSGRA - Bay Area Chapter hosts their Labor Day BBQ at Sundance Saloon. The hours of the BBQ will be announced in the next BAC Blast on August 26th.
