Greetings from the GSGRA - Bay Area Chapter! We hope this message finds you well.
With 2010 kicking off this Friday, the BAC has been presented with it's first fundraising opportunity of the new year. The folks over at Golden Gate Fields in Berkeley just love our group because we have been coming out and working the Dollar Days Booth for over a year now, and we are one of their favorite groups. Not only are we a colorful, attractive bunch of folks, but we are very responsible and we get the job done right. They just love working with us, therefore they offered us the opportunity to work the Dollar Days Booth on New Year's Day from 10am to 4:30pm. We did the same thing on New Year's Day 2009, and although it was a pretty crazy/busy day, we were able to pull it off while still having a good time with our fellow rodeo members and friends.
If you would like to volunteer and have not yet notified JP Soto, our Fundraising Chairperson, please send him an e-mail at fundraising@bayarearodeo.com so he can get you on the list. We only need 3-4 people to be there between 10am-12pm, and we will need another 8-10 people from 12pm-4:30pm. Please let JP know whether you are able to come for the early or late shift. He will send you all of the details in case you have never been out with us before for Dollar Days.
If you're not able to join us on New Year's Day, don't worry. There will be plenty more opportunities in 2010 to work with us at Golden Gate Fields. We are still working out the specific dates, but as soon as we get them we will be sure to list them on our website as well as notify you via the BAC Blast.
